Chuck Norris Approved: Alert Woman Ducks Rolling Mercedes ML


A traffic camera located at an intersection in the small Russian town of Timashevsk in the Krasnodar region captured a terrifying accident involving a Mercedes-Benz ML350 SUV.

The driver of the German luxury crossover blew right through a red light at speed and was hit on the rear passenger side by an oncoming Daewoo Nexia, which sent the Mercedes rolling over towards a pedestrian on the sidewalk.

Amazingly, the alert woman saw the Mercedes-Benz SUV coming her way and she instinctively jumped to safety literally at the last moment. The ML350 came to a stop on an electric pole with the video showing the careless driver jumping out of the car, apparently unhurt.

Euro NCAP Announces the Results of the Latest Round of Crash Tests


The Ford Ranger's five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash test was a surprise in the sense that it was the first time a pickup truck ever achieved such a high score not only for passenger but also for pedestrian protection as well.

The independent European safety organization also released the results for 11 more new models that were tested along with the Ranger. With the emphasis given these days on safety, the five-star rating awarded in all but one of the models was to be expected.

New Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG with Bi-Turbo V8 to Debut in L.A.


After showing us the regular versions of its new 2012 ML-Class SUV earlier this summer and of course, at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, Mercedes-Benz is gearing up for the world premiere of the flagship ML 63 AMG this November at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. Read more »

Mercedes-Benz to Produce an All-New Fifth Model at its U.S. Plant in 2015


Daimler, the parent company of German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz, plans to invest US$350 million and create some 400 new jobs at its U.S. plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to build a brand-new, but as of yet, unnamed model.

Currently, Mercedes-Benz manufactures the M-, GL-, and R-Class SUVs in Tuscaloosa, while the German firm will also assemble the next generation of the C-Class series for the North American market beginning 2014.
